Thanks to the folks at Amazon for hosting the Sydney Chef Meetup!
Matt Ray from Chef will present an AWS deep dive into Chef’s open-source InSpec project for automating security and audits as “Compliance as Code”. InSpec turns compliance requirements into code that clearly expresses policies while validating your infrastructure and applications. This session will dig into the inspec-aws profiles for securing your AWS workloads.
Chris Fowles from Vibrato will present an overview and demonstration of Amazon’s OpsWorks for Chef Automate. This is a managed service directly available from AWS and supported by Chef as a joint offering, it was announced at re:Invent 2017 replacing the previous OpsWorks offering. This session will cover the open source foundations of Chef Automate and demo patching an application stack for compliance violations through Automate’s CI/CD workflow.
